My name is Freddy Bland and I was born and raised in the heart of the midwest in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I have two wonderful children, of which I am very proud. I am very new to the world of photography. Two years ago, a very dear coworker introduced me to photography. I was so inspired by her work and talent and I saw for the first time what really good photography was about. My dear, belated husband gave me a Nikon D200 as an early Christmas gift in 2007. Prior to that, I was doing well to take a decent photograph with a point and click camera. I soon discovered some serious training would be most helpful so I enrolled in a digital camera class. Wow...it was like all of the lights suddenly came on and a whole new world appeared. Now I want to photograph everything, but my real passion is photographing animals and flowers. I have since acquired a Nikon D90 and a D300 and various lenses. My two children are now grown and my pets have become my subsequent family and my photography subjects, so in my gallery you will see many of their images. I have three Rag Doll cats whose names are Azure, Topaz and Kiss and one pure white Himalayan named Snowflake. I have two Pomeranians named Picasso and Dakota. Most of the floral photographs are from my own backyard, as I am, also, an avid gardener. I hope you will enjoy your visit to my gallery and will come again. Thank you so much for stopping by.
